I'm going to try and keep this short and to the point, cause the point is awesome!
So, as I was Rucking along, I found myself on about mile 10 of the 22K (13.67 miles) and a song by the group, "SHINEDOWN" called "Cut the Cord" came on my playlist. As soon as I heard this song come on, I knew I was to do a video about what the Lord has been leading me to understand through the lyrics of this song. For some reason this song has spoken to me for a few months now and I knew I would be sharing the words that the Holy Spirit has given me through it; I just wasn't aware of the timing of when to share it and how significant it would end up being! It all made sense yesterday though!
I originally wanted to share something on this on the Fourth of July, when America celebrates our Freedom from tyranny but the Lord shut it down, QUICK, and I knew it wasn't time for it.
When I was finished with the Ruck, I immediately, after getting two glasses of awesome lemonade from sweet A'layah, went to my truck and prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide my words in what to say in reference to the lyrics of this song, "Cut the Cord". I didn't share the video when I was done though, I just kept praying and asking God on if I was hearing Him wrong!
Later that evening, I had to drive to Norman to go to a pre-sale for the girls some fall clothes, so the whole way I decided to keep the radio off and just talk and listen for the Lord's guidance on the issue of sharing or not....I'm sure I said over and over, probably 1000 times....
"Lord! Do I share this video or not? Should I? Or not? Are you SURE this is what I'm to do?!! Surely no one will hear what I'm hearing through it?! Surely no one will get it? Right? Do I share it? Well, if You really are needing/wanting/asking me to share this then I'm going to need a CLEAR confirmation from You!" (Eek; pretty bold of me to pray such demanding prayers).
Guys! I kid you not! Not even two minutes after saying this, a white Jeep (Jeeps are huge at Cross Bar for crawling the rough terrain and hills) passed me and the license plate was....get ready for this....AN AMERICAN FLAG and it read, "JESUS"!!! I was stunned, embarrassed a little, and ashamed that I was battling God on something I already KNEW I was to share!
So, here I am to share this song by SHINEDOWN, "Cut the Cord" and I'm doing it out of obedience to our Lord in knowing that if it touches just ONE person, then that's the exact ONE person God needed to reach!
